# Docker

> Docker Engine and the Compose plugin from Docker's own repository.

Docker Engine, the Buildx and Compose plugins, installed from Docker's official package repository and started at boot. It's ready for `docker compose up` a few minutes after the server is ready.

## Details

- Installs on: Ubuntu and Debian; AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Fedora
- Smallest plan: Budget (1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM)
- Public ports: none (nothing listens publicly)
- Project site: https://docs.docker.com/engine/

## After the server is ready

1. Log in with SSH.
2. Run `docker run --rm hello-world` to check it works.
3. Put your project's compose.yaml on the server and run `docker compose up -d`.

## Order it

Pick Docker in the order form, or use `"app": "docker"` in the API or `vps9 servers create --app docker`. See [all one-click apps](https://vpsnine.com/apps) and [plans](https://vpsnine.com/plans).
