# Frequently asked questions

The short answers about the relaunch. Anything else, email us.

## When can I order?

Soon. We're setting up new hardware now. Join the waitlist and you'll get one email the moment orders open. [What happens when you order](/help/what-happens-when-you-order) walks through the steps.

## Where will the servers be?

We'll announce locations at launch, once the hardware is in place. Waitlist members hear first.

## How much will it cost?

Prices are announced at launch. Billing is monthly with no setup fees and no annual lock-in, and every plan includes an IPv4 address.

## What virtualization do you use?

KVM. Your server has its own kernel and behaves like real hardware, so you can run Docker, WireGuard and anything else Linux runs.

## Which operating systems can I install?

A choice of popular [Linux distributions](/help/choose-a-distribution), plus a [serial console](/help/serial-console) in your browser for when SSH won't let you in. The full list is published at launch.

## Do I get IPv6?

Yes. Every server gets one IPv4 address and one IPv6 address, both set up for you on the first boot ([check that IPv6 works](/help/ipv6-setup)).

## Is there a refund policy?

Yes, a 14-day [money-back guarantee](/help/money-back-guarantee). Accounts suspended for abuse are not refunded.

## How can I pay?

Bitcoin at launch, through our own payment server. Card and PayPal will follow once approved. See [payment methods](/help/payment-methods).

## Can I send email from my server?

Outbound port 25 is blocked by default on new servers, to keep spam off the addresses everyone here shares. Most apps can send through a mail service on port 587 or 465 instead. If you run a real mail server, open a support ticket; we review it and open port 25 for that server. See [sending email](/help/open-port-25).

## What am I allowed to run?

Anything lawful that doesn't harm others or our network. Spam, attacks, mining and a few other things are not allowed: see the [Acceptable Use Policy](/aup).

## Who runs VPSNine?

VPSNine is operated by Tekari. Questions go to [hello@vpsnine.com](mailto:hello@vpsnine.com), or to a support ticket in the panel once you have an account, and people answer them. Abuse reports go to [abuse@vpsnine.com](mailto:abuse@vpsnine.com).
