About VPSNine
A small Linux VPS host founded in 2011, relaunching on a platform we built ourselves.
VPSNine started selling Linux VPS in 2011. We were one of the small hosts the LowEndBox and LowEndTalk crowd knew: affordable servers, quick setup, and a plans page that promised "59 second Activation".
From 2016 to 2021 the entry plan was Budget 256: 256 MB of RAM, one core and 10 GB of disk, running on SolusVM. From 2019 to 2021 you could also pay in Bitcoin. VPSNine stopped selling servers in 2022 and was closed for a few years.
The relaunch
Now it's coming back on new hardware. Each server uses KVM virtualization, runs its own kernel and stores data on NVMe, and every server gets an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address. Servers run in New York, United States. Billing is monthly or yearly with no setup fee, and there's a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first order. Launch prices and sizes are on the plans page.
Built in-house
Last time, like most small hosts, we ran on bought-in software. This time we're writing our own billing, customer panel, API and command-line tool as one codebase. Why we're building our own panel explains the reasons.
The account side is already live at my.vpsnine.com: sign-up, two-factor, SSH keys, API tokens and an activity log. Ordering and server management open at launch. Payment at launch is Bitcoin or PayPal; Bitcoin goes through a payment server we run ourselves.
Who runs it
VPSNine is operated by Tekari LLC. You can reach us at hello@vpsnine.com. Once you have an account, you can also open a support ticket in the panel, which keeps the conversation next to your server and invoices. Support tickets go to the people who operate the platform. What runs inside your server, including its backups, is yours to manage; off-site backups aren't available yet. The Terms of Service set out who looks after what. Abuse reports go to abuse@vpsnine.com, with the IP address, the time and your evidence.
What's next
Orders open once the hardware has been tested. Until then, you can set up your account, read the FAQ, browse the help center, or join the waitlist below. It sends one email, on the day orders open.
