Your billing overview and upcoming charges

Read the billing page in the panel. Your credit, what is due in the next 30 days, each server's next renewal, what yearly billing would save, and every invoice.

The Overview tab of Billing shows what you have, what you owe and what is coming: your account credit, the total due in the next 30 days, how much of it your credit covers, and each server's next renewal. Everything is in US dollars, and nothing on the page charges you; it only reads your account.

What you need

  • A VPSNine account. On a team, the owner, admins, billing and read-only members can open Billing; technical members can't.

The three numbers at the top

The billing overview with account credit of $126.10, $44.56 due in the next 30 days and $0.00 left to pay after credit, above a full green bar
The bar fills as your credit covers more of what is due. Here it covers everything.
Box What it counts
Account credit Money already on your account. It pays each new invoice first.
Due in the next 30 days Invoices that are open now (not top-ups), plus renewals not issued yet whose date falls in the next 30 days.
Left to pay after credit What credit doesn't cover. Green at $0.00; anything above it is what you still have to pay.

The line under the bar says it in words: either "Your credit covers everything due in the next 30 days", or how much it covers and how much is left. If something is open, a Pay VPS9-… button next to Add funds and Credit history takes you straight to it.

On a phone the same boxes wrap onto two rows:

The phone layout keeps the boxes in the same order.

Upcoming charges

The Upcoming charges table: six servers with their plan, monthly term, renewal date from 2026-11-06 to 2026-11-20, amount and an estimate tag
Every server's next renewal, soonest first.

Each running server has a row: its plan and term, the date it renews, the amount, and a status:

  • estimate: the renewal invoice isn't out yet. The amount is worked out at today's prices for the plan and each add-on, the same way the invoice will be. If a price changes before then, the invoice uses the new one.
  • invoiced: the renewal invoice is out and open. The amount is the invoice's.
  • paid: the renewal is already paid; nothing more is due for that period.
  • cancelling: the server is cancelled at the end of its period and won't renew.

Renewal invoices are issued 7 days before the renewal date, and credit pays them first. A server billed yearly also gets an email 30 days before it renews, with the amount and whether your credit covers it.

What yearly billing would save

If a server is billed monthly and its plan has a yearly price, the overview works out the difference: twelve monthly renewals against one yearly renewal, at today's prices. It only shows a saving when there is one.

The yearly savings box: each monthly server with what a year of monthly renewals costs, what one yearly renewal costs, and the difference, $120.48 a year in total
At the launch prices a yearly term costs ten months, so each server saves two months a year.

To switch, see Switch a server between monthly and yearly billing.

Invoices, recent credit and payments

Further down are your invoices (newest first, with PDF on each paid one and pay on each open one), the last few changes to your credit, and the payments you've made with Bitcoin or PayPal. Download invoices and receipts as PDF and Read your credit history cover those.

The API has the same overview: GET /api/v1/billing returns your credit and upcoming charges. See the API reference. In a terminal, vps9 billing prints it as a table (vps9 CLI cheat sheet).

Check it worked

After a payment or a top-up confirms, reload the page: Account credit and Left to pay after credit change at once, and the invoice's status turns to paid.

Troubleshooting

  • A renewal shows a different amount from last month. Estimates use today's prices for the plan and each add-on. An add-on you added or removed changes it too; a lower amount set for the next renewal shows here before it applies.
  • A server is missing from Upcoming charges. Servers that are being deleted, or were made by our staff without billing, have no renewal to show.
  • "Due in the next 30 days" is more than you expected. It counts every open invoice that isn't a top-up, whatever its date, plus renewals in the window.
